What We Believe.
Because we come from many different backgrounds, we do not have the same experiences of God, nor do we all have the same theology. Because of the diversity of our community, we try and offer a worship experience that blends many different traditions. You may recognise some aspects of the service or the hymns we sing. Other parts may be completely new to you. Join in as you feel comfortable.
What we do have in common is that we are on a spiritual journey of discovery. The way that we help each other on this journey is summarised in MCC Newcastle’s Core Values
At MCC Newcastle, we expect people to be different from each other! We offer a range of ministries and activities that answer a variety of different needs and interests.
We try and reflect God’s all inclusive love by making everyone welcome. Some people ask if you have to be lesbian gay, bisexual or transgendered, to be part of MCC Newcastle. The answer is NO!
As you get to know us, you will notice that many different people are involved in the life and ministry of our faith community. We believe that every person has the potential to serve God and other people – it is not just for those who are ordained or a select few. For just some of the ways in which ordinary members of our congregation are involved see the Ministry Teams Page.
