Social Events.
At MCC Newcastle we take our Core Values very seriously, so making sure everyone has an opportunity for "love, fun and laughter" is very important to us! We are a sociable bunch and love getting together in various ways.
After Sunday Worship we usually get together in the back of the church for tea/coffee and refreshments served by our fabulous hospitality team, to have a chat and catch up with each other.
We also offer a variety of socials outside of worship time; some are aimed at specific groups (such as our Young Adult Ministry socials), while others aim to get the whole church together. Some socials, such as the Squash and Listening Lunches (see below) run on a regular basis, others are "one-offs." Let us know if you have any ideas for a future social or if you would like to organise one!

Squash.
A social time for all.
Although you could be forgiven for thinking this event involves racquet sports and cordial, the Squash is in reality a monthly event hosted by two members of our congregation. The idea is to "squash" as many people into Mikee and Jonny's house as possible after the Sunday service to enjoy food, drink and conversation. All are welcome to come along, especially newcomers who often find that the Squash is a great opportunity to get to know each other better over a glass of wine or juice!

Listening Lunches.
Hosted by Kate, our Congregational Care Co-ordinator, Listening Lunches are an opportunity to get together over lunch on a Monday for fellowship, caring and sharing. Everyone is very welcome. Listening Lunches take place at the Age Concern Cafe, Mea House, Newcastle-upon-Tyne once a month (see the latest calendar for details). Food is provided free-of-charge.
YAM Socials.
YAM (Young Adult Ministry) runs monthly socials for members aged 18-30s. These can be anything from meeting for coffee to going to a gig or ice-skating! Click here for more information.
...And everything else.
Look out for various one-off socials happening throughout the year. Some past events have included fundraising parties, dog walks, Christmas party, snowtubing, beach trips and much much more! Download details of this month's events here.
