Wilderness People
Wilderness People - MCC Newcastle Living History Project
November 2007 (Archived file)
November is Living History Month at MCC Newcastle! You are invited to share your story by taking part in this exciting new project.
Unless they are written down, our memories will be lost to history. By recording monumental events in our lives, like coming out, and our different paths to faith, we have the power to change the historical record – of what it means to be a church, and the different ways we bear witness to God’s love.
The aim is therefore to gather together our stories one by one throughout November in a series of interviews which will then be edited and published together as a book. This will provide a lasting testimony of our journeys of faith as a truly inclusive Christian community, one which brings people together from all walks of life, diverse cultures, identities and abilities.
The Project Director is Dr Helen Berry who is an academic historian, who is offering her time and expertise to this project for no fees.
