Our Mission Statement
Our Mission is to be a Christ-centred and inclusive community, with a commitment to spiritual and personal growth through worship, prayer and action. We seek to provide a welcoming and accepting atmosphere, and aim to proclaim Christ's message of liberation for all. We work towards a transformation in the understanding of Christianity and its relevance to contemporary society.
Our Vision
By the year 2010, MCC Newcastle will be a diverse Congregation with regular worship as its foundation.
We will have grown in commitment, maturity and numbers. We will strive to have effective publicity, which reaches out to our local communities and the world at large, and we will campaign on wider issues of social justice and peace. We will offer opportunities for theological and scriptural education, and a wide range of groups and activities that serve the changing needs of the community.
We will be appropriately equipped, trained and supported, spiritually, theologically and practically, for the ministries we are undertaking.
We seek to provide a welcoming and accepting atmosphere, and aim to proclaim Christ's message of liberation for all. We work towards a transformation in the understanding of Christianity and its relevance to contemporary society.
